Who we are

Silai (silai.app) is operated by Silai Arts Inc., a Canadian company ("Silai", "we"). Questions about this policy or your data: hello@silai.app.

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, and a securely hashed password (we cannot see the password itself). Tailor shops also provide shop name, phone and WhatsApp numbers, and city.
• Body measurements: the numbers produced by the camera scan or typed in by you, plus optional details you provide such as height, bra band size, weight, age, or cup size.
• Scan video frames: the short video you record is reduced to a set of still frames used to estimate your measurements. These frames are deleted automatically once processing completes; failed or abandoned scans are cleaned up within 2 days. A mathematical body model derived from the scan may be retained; the original imagery is not.
• Listings, orders and messages: what you post, order enquiries you send or receive, chat messages, ratings, and the city and approximate coordinates you attach to listings (shown publicly).
• Technical basics: server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept for security and debugging.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: estimating and storing your naap, showing fit scores, connecting buyers with sellers and tailors, sending transactional email (verification, order and message notifications), and keeping the platform safe, including automated screening of uploaded photos. We do not sell personal data, and we do not send marketing email to customers.

Who sees your measurements

Only you, and any tailor or seller you choose to send an order enquiry to. A Pre-Loved listing shows the garment's measurements, never your body's; fit scores are computed for your eyes only. Public listing pages show whatever you put in them, including the city you attach.

Cookies, ads and analytics

Silai is free because pages carry advertising served by Google AdSense, which uses cookies and similar technologies; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland you will see a consent choice before any such cookies are set, and you can decline personalised ads there. We also use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic. Session cookies keep you signed in; they are essential and hold no tracking data.

Payments

Silai processes no order payments; you pay tailors and sellers directly. The only payment on Silai itself is the optional listing boost, handled entirely by Stripe; your card number never touches our servers.

Where your data lives

Silai runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Service providers we rely on: AWS (hosting, storage, email delivery, automated image screening, measurement processing), Google (advertising, analytics), and Stripe (boost payments). Each receives only what its function needs.

Retention

• Scan frames: deleted after processing, at most 2 days.
• Scans you stop using: removed after 365 days; your most recent scan is always kept so your naap stays available.
• Pre-Loved listings: deleted automatically 365 days after posting, photos included.
• Accounts, orders and messages: kept while your account exists.

Your choices

You can edit or delete your listings and re-scan or retype your naap at any time. To delete your account and its data, email hello@silai.app from the address on the account and we will remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep for security or legal reasons. Silai is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it and significant changes will be announced on the site.
