From phone camera to perfect fit

One short video replaces the measuring tape. Here is the whole journey, whichever side of the counter you are on, for men and women, from a daily kurta to a wedding lehenga or sherwani.

Silai does three things: it measures you with your phone camera, it connects you directly with independent tailor shops that stitch to those measurements, and it runs a Pre-Loved rack where every second-hand piece shows a fit score against your body. Nothing is charged for any of it and Silai takes no commission; tailors and customers deal with each other directly. If you only want your measurements, for online shopping or a tailor elsewhere, the scan alone is free and needs no account.

For customers

  1. Browse. Search the marketplace by category, city and distance, or filter the Pre-Loved rack by your own measurements.
  2. Scan yourself once. Prop your phone up, step back, show your palm, turn around slowly. In about a minute Silai estimates your full measurement sheet: bust, waist, hips, arm length, height and more. Prefer to type your measurements in? That works too.
  3. See what fits. Custom pieces are stitched to your numbers. Pre-Loved pieces show a fit score and a chart comparing the garment to your body, honest even when the price is tempting.
  4. Talk directly. Message the tailor or seller in Silai's built-in chat, or on WhatsApp when they have added a number. Agree price, fabric, timeline, delivery or local pickup.
  5. Pay them, not us. Payment happens directly between you and the shop, UPI, bank transfer, cash on pickup, whatever you both agree. Silai takes no commission and adds no fees.

For tailor shops

  1. Open your shop free. Register in about 5 minutes. Already a Silai customer? The same email and password opens your workroom.
  2. Post your work. Photos, price, fabric, colours, category, all managed from a simple workroom dashboard.
  3. Receive measurements with every enquiry. When a customer orders, their measurements arrive with the request. No visit, no fitting, no guesswork.
  4. Turn your existing ads into orders. Every listing has a share link, QR code and a ready-made Instagram poster. Put them on the ads you already run; customers who open the link can scan themselves and send you their measurements directly.
  5. Keep 100%. Price and payment stay between you and the customer. Silai never touches the money.

Pre-Loved, for everyone

Anyone can list a custom-made outfit they no longer wear, tailors and customers alike. Listing is free, takes a few minutes, and stores the measurements the piece was made for, from a scan, a past order, or typed by hand. Buyers filter the rack by their own measurements, so your piece is shown to the bodies it was cut for. Listings stay editable and expire after 365 days.
